Naturist travel, planned by people who have actually been there

Clothing-optional resorts, naturist beaches and escorted group trips across Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe. We have been to over 125 countries and all seven continents, and we only send you places we understand.

What naturist travel actually means

Naturism is simply the practice of being comfortable without clothes in places set up for it. In travel terms it covers a wide range, from a resort where nudity is welcome around the pool to an entire town on the Mediterranean where it is the norm.

The distinction that matters most when you book is clothing-optional versus nudity-required. At a clothing-optional property, what you wear is your decision, and most guests dress for dinner or to head into town. At the small number of places where nudity is expected, it is usually limited to specific areas such as the pool deck. We tell you which is which before you book, because arriving at the wrong kind of property is the fastest way to ruin a holiday.

These are adult, social, ordinary holidays. People swim, eat well, read, take excursions and go home relaxed. If you have never done it before, that is fine. Most of our clients had not either.

Clothing-optional

You choose. Swimsuit, nothing, or somewhere in between. Nudity is never compulsory. Most of the properties we book fall into this category.

Nudity expected

A smaller group of properties ask for nudity in defined areas, typically the pool and pool deck. We flag these clearly so there are no surprises on arrival.

Where we send people

Three ways to travel, depending on whether you want to be looked after, left alone, or in good company.

All-inclusive resorts

Hidden Beach near Cancun and Intima Resort in Tulum. Adults only, upscale, meals and drinks handled. Good if you want to arrive and stop making decisions.

Villas and small properties

St Martin, Curacao, Costa Rica, a restored 16th-century farmhouse in Puglia. Quieter, self-catering, often family-run. Good if you want the place to yourselves.

Group trips and cruises

Escorted sailings from Croatia, Spain's Vera Playa, the Canary Islands. English-speaking hosts. Singles welcome, though a single supplement may apply.

Who you are dealing with

NaturisTravel.us is Jim Bailey and Donna Daniels. Between us we have travelled to more than 125 countries and all seven continents, stayed everywhere from bare-bones apartments to five-star resorts, and been on the boats and to the beaches we send you to.

That matters more than it sounds. Naturist properties vary enormously in atmosphere, and the difference between a place you love and a place you endure is rarely visible on a booking site. We have walked the grounds. We know which properties are on the beach and which are a taxi ride from it, which have a restaurant and which expect you to cook, and which ones suit couples versus singles.

We do not charge you to ask. Tell us what you are after and we will tell you honestly whether we have something that fits.
